SENIOR BOILERMAKER

POSITION TITLE

Senior Boilermaker

NO OF VACANCIES

JOB PURPOSE

 Maintain, repair, replace and install plate work, structural steel, chutes, bins and various other              equipment in an industrial plant.

 Do inspections and condition monitoring to assess the integrity of bins, liners and structures and          give feedback regarding required repairs and maintenance.

 Fabricate new and modify existing plate work and structures to accomplish a certain set of                  requirements.

MIN QUALIFICATION

Must be in possession of a recognised qualification as a boilermaker form an accredited training facility.

Must have at least three years of relevant experience as a boilermaker on an industrial plant.

Must be in possession of a relevant certificate or higher qualification associated with his trade competency.

MIN COMPETENCE

Must be oriented to the safe execution of his duties.

Must be able to deliver a high level of quality and workmanship in performing his/her duties.

Must be skilled in various welding techniques as well as mechanical and gas cutting.

Be able to work accurately and skilfully to manufacture and repair plate and structural equipment.

Be able to communicate clearly in English.

Be able to read and interpret technical drawings.

Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Must have good leadership skills.

Computer literate.

Must have good supervisory skills.

Must be able to conduct general administrative duties as is normally required in a boilermaker workshop.

SENIOR INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN

Senior Instrument Technician

JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the Assistant Manager – Instrument Maintenance

To manage the overall PLC programming of plant’s control system

To maintain, inspect, prevent downtime and increase availability and performance of the plant control system and component systems including PLC equipment, SCADA system, IT control systems and VSD systems

MIN QUALIFICATION

Minimum qualification of Diploma in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering

At least 6 years working experience in the instrumentation and automation industry

MIN COMPETENCE

Experience with Allen Bradley and Rockwell Automation software is an advantage

Familiarity and experience with SCADA system would be an advantage

SENIOR FITTER

Senior Fitter

NO OF VACANCIES

JOB PURPOSE

Maintain, repair, replace and install mechanical equipment specifically associated with material handling systems,  furnaces, post tap hole equipment, water treatment system, hydraulic system, pneumatic system, cooling systems and gas cleaning systems.

Do daily inspections and condition monitoring and give feedback regarding maintenance required for a specific machine or system.

MIN QUALIFICATION

Must be in possession of a recognised qualification as a fitter from and accredited training facility.

Must be in possession of a relevant certificate or higher qualification associated with his trade competency.

At least 3 years of working experience with furnaces, crushers, conveyors, fittings, pumps, drilling, gearboxes, overhead cranes and hydraulics in a heavy industrial environment would be a distinct advantage.

MIN COMPETENCE

Must be able to safely execute his duties as fitter in all aspects of his daily tasks.

Must be able to deliver high quality workmanship in the performance of his duties.

Must be able to safely operate and use hand tools, power tools and equipment associated with the position as fitter.

Must be able to select and use manual lifting equipment.

Do alignment of motor and fan shafts.

Must have a working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Must be computer literate.

Must be able to communicate clearly in English.

Must have good leadership skills.

Must have good supervisory skills.

Must be able to conduct general administrative duties as is normally required in a fitter workshop.
